The Enquirer understands that administrator Opus Restructuring LLP has been getting more than 50 calls and emails a day from subcontractors and staff since they were appointed last month.

A creditors’ meeting is scheduled for August 10 and is sure to be a stormy affair.

Angry creditors have contacted the Enquirer to complain about the collapse and developments since HOC went down.

The assets of HOC were sold to a company called Coppercast Group Ltd.

Coppercast is the sole shareholder of a new company called Key 2 Construction which was incorporated on June 9.

Key 2 Construction has now taken over the old HOC website where it states the management team has “many years’ collective experience working within the London and Southern Home Counties construction market.”

Former HOC staff have been left with thousands in unpaid wages following the administration.

The Enquirer has seen a string of angry emails sent by staff to a new management team brought in before the failure in a bid to turn the company around.

One worker said: “We were strung along right up until the end.

“It was excuse after excuse about why our wages weren’t being paid.”

Opus said all claims for outstanding staff wages had been passed to the Redundancy Payments Office.
