Northumberland based A-Belco is now in the hands of administrators from Deloitte.
Two other subsidiaries from the group are already in administration – MEP Solutions Ltd and MEP BIM Solutions Ltd.
MEP was a manufacturer and supplier of prefabricated M&E components to the construction industry.
The company’s website said: “Each unique module is designed from fully co-ordinated 3D models and manufactured under factory controlled conditions.
“Modules are then delivered to site on a just in time basis, thus reducing the number of on-site personnel, reducing waste and improving installation efficiency.”
A-Belco Ltd assembles lighting and electrical contracting products and its divisions include – HADAR lighting, A-Belco Hazardous Area, Electrical Engineering and Industrial Connectors.
Deloitte said: “The company has suffered from its exposure to the Oil and Gas industry and was looking to raise external finance as part of its turnaround strategy but wasn’t successful.”
The administrators will run an orderly wind down of the business and 50 members of staff of A-Belco Ltd have been made redundant with 10 employees retained to support with this strategy
