The new New Falkirk Campus will be built on Grangemouth Road, Falkirk on the site of the College’s former Middlefield Building.
It has set an overall construction budget of £58m for the 220,000 sq ft building job, which is expected to take around 23 months, opening in August 2019.
The 2000-student campus will have a focus on science and engineering with advanced level courses in computing, construction and sport.
A key element of the project is the inclusion of a new purpose designed arts centre, developed in conjunction with Falkirk Council and Falkirk Community Trust.
This new facility will provide a 500 seat multi-purpose venue for performing arts and conferencing and will also provide a wide range of collaborative opportunities and benefits for college and art centre alike.
Key project partners include the Scottish Government, Scottish Funding Council, Scottish Futures Trust, Forth Valley College Foundation and AECOM.
AECOM is project managing and providing structural and M&E consultancy.
