Bid race starts for £250m London bluelight framework

Contractors are being called up for a £250m framework to deliver £250m worth of improvements to the Metropolitan Police Estate in London and the South East.

The four-year framework is being divided into three lots covering minors works up to individual projects of up to £10m.

Works include internal refurbishment and fit-out of buildings, offices, stations training facilities as well as new build projects.

Minor and Intermediate Building Works Framework

Lot 1: covers worth up to £500,000 with £86m shared between six contractors

Lot 2: work valued at £500,000 – £5m. Up to £32m shared between four contractors

Lots 3: Projects valued at £5m-£10m, with £130m planned spend shared by four firms

The framework is also open to Kent Police, Essex Police, Surrey Police, Thames Valley Police.

Following shortlisting, firms will be invited to bid in April. Further prequal information is available here.
