Betting Spy: Grand Slam beckons for England

If the Scottish rugby lads were feeling a bit rough Sunday morning then Betting Spy had more than a bit of sympathy.

Last Saturday was a tough day to be Scottish...
Last Saturday was a tough day to be Scottish...

An invite to Twickenham from those lovely people at safety specialist JSP is always welcome.

But I woke up the next day in need of one of their famous hard hats to dull the pain of a day’s “spectating”.

It’s always a good drink-up for the Calcutta Cup and the drubbing handed out to the visitors sparked a mass party.

Everyone had the same idea of sinking a few to celebrate and try and dodge the Twickenham Station queues.

That was my excuse at least when I finally came tumbling through our front door.

England will be going all out to bag the Grand Slam this Saturday. And I can’t see Ireland stopping them.

You can back Eddie Jones’ men at evens giving the Irish a four-point start on the handicap which looks the way to go.

Back in the world of football and West Ham continue to take one step forward and three back.

The owner is now grumbling about performances which is never a good sign.

Manager Slaven Bilic needs to stop his obsession with playing people out of position.

And stop playing Sofiane Feghouli who I could still mark out of a game, at 50 with a gammy knee.

The Irons host Leicester on Saturday in a game which could see a few goals.

The same should be true of Bournemouth against Swansea so let’s chance a high scoring double.

Backing both games to have more than 3.5 goals in total each pays a shade over 7/1 for the double which seems a decent price.
