The contractor confirmed plans to consolidate housing delivery into mainstream construction in its latest results released last week.
The Enquirer understands that around 30 jobs could be lost during the process which is now underway.
Willmott Dixon said it was too early to discuss numbers but it is confident most people will be redeployed at the construction division.
The firm is actively bidding for housing work but now under the main Willmott Dixon banner so most staff will simply operate as normal under a new name.
