The university plans to divide its framework up up into five lots to suit both small and large contractors, covering minor repairs and maintenance to new-build projects.
Biggest of the bunch is for projects worth more than £1m where the University is budgeted to spend £42m over coming years.
At the other end of the spectrum, the red brick university has set up a deal to cover minor repairs works worth up to £5,000.
Procurement bosses at the University expect to sign up a total of 20 firms, which will be selected to bid as projects are called off.
Interested contractors have until 24 February to return PQQs, which can be downloaded from https://in-tendhost.co.uk/theuniversityofreading or Andy Smart, tel 01183 788305.
