The regeneration specialist is delivering the mixed-use regeneration scheme in partnership with Stockport Council.
The next phase, Two Stockport Exchange, will see a 60,000 sq ft, six-storey office built next to the existing office One Stockport Exchange and Holiday Inn Express, built by Eric Wright a year ago.
Outline planning approval is already in place for the Aedas designed scheme, with Hannan Associates on board as building services consultant.
Wes Erlam, development director at Muse, said: “The success of Stockport Exchange phase two was phenomenal and the buildings were fully let within just six months of completion, with demand for the office building being much higher than it was capable of accommodating.
“This reflects the natural advantages of Stockport as a location for businesses, with exceptional links to London, Manchester, and the motorway network – alongside ongoing redevelopment of which Stockport Exchange is a part.
Start on site is planned for the summer, with completion of phase three anticipated in Spring 2020.
The scheme will ultimately deliver up to 375,000 sq ft of office space and 28,000 sq ft of commercial floor space. The first phase of the scheme – a 1,000 space multi-storey car park operated by NCP – was completed in 2014.
