According to construction information specialist Glenigan, the contractor bagged a trio of major awards.

These were a £160m bioscience project in Harlow for Public Health England, the £66m Burrell Renaissance building in Glasgow and a £60m inpatient facility at Ashworth Hospital on Merseyside.

In a month of turbulence caused by the collapse of Carillion, Kier/Eiffage will take on Carillion’s HS2 civils job on C2 North Portals, this package has been split two ways instead of three.

Sir Robert McAlpine remained at the top of the 12 month rolling league although its £600m lead helped by the Basttersea Power Station project award last year has been eaten away to around £300m by the new Kier wins.

Balfour Beatty and NG Bailey share the £460m electrical package for the Hinckley Point nuclear power station, signed off in January.

A BAM/Morgan Sindall JV has a £244m deal for work on M27 junctions 4-11 while Sir Robert McAlpine took a £100m residential/retail scheme in Knightsbridge for Cheval Group.

Bouygues won a £90m civic centre conversion for London Borough of Tower Hamlets and ISG has secured a £70m resi scheme in Birmingham for PGC Capital.
