The former brownfield site will experience extensive ground modelling works to reduce the level of the site by up to 2.5m plus installation of a series of PCC retaining walls to the entire North and West boundaries.
Remediation work will facilitate the construction of the two warehouses worth £3.9m.
One of the buildings has already been pre-let, and will be occupied by Consentino Group, a global, Spanish, family-owned company that produces and distributes high value innovative surfaces for the world of design and architecture.
The scheme is just one of a number of builds currently progressing at the location. A new Wickes Superstore, Oncology Centre, Harley Davidson Showroom, as well as a Costa Coffee and McDonald’s outlets are also under development.
Michael George, Contracts Director at Mick George Ltd said: ‘’We’ve worked in partnership with Parkway Construction Ltd on a number of similar projects over the years, including some of the earlier plots on Newmarket Business Park.
“This should stand us in good stead for delivering another quality service that will enable the continuation of the project without any delay.’’
