NWP has landed the £5m M&E deal on the Arden Gate apartment complex.
Once completed the development will consist of 225 luxury one, two & three bed dwellings in addition to a small number of studio apartments.
The win follows a similar deal for Torsion on its Herbert House project in the city.
NWP undertook an intensive value engineering process at Arden Gate during the pre-contract design stage and were successful in reducing the cost significantly whilst maintaining the high standards expected.
NWP’s Managing Director, Tim Keyes said: “The successful award follows a strong performance on the Herbert House development also within Birmingham City Centre.
“Securing the Arden Gate development further emphasizes our approach to repeat business with key clients and working with them from an early stage to achieve their goals”.
Building Information Modelling will be utilised by NWP’s in house design team.
Use of BIM will afford a greater level of building services coordination in relation to other services and the structure. In addition, BIM can also provide a clearer experience for the facility management team.
NWP Electrical & Mechanical are currently developing the building services design with on-site installation expected to start in October and running until the target completion date during the final quarter of 2019.
