The Hireman is giving its clients and staff a say in where the new depot should be via an internet vote.

Managing director Bruce Graham said: “We have such a great relationship with our customers that it’s natural to consult them about our expansion plans.

“Demand is such that we need to open a new depot, and no-one knows better than our customers where it should be.”

The firm has compiled a shortlist of four locations near the M25 at Walthamstow, Dartford, Croydon and Surbiton.

Graham said: “We believe that by working closely and more efficiently with our customers we can deliver a constantly improving service of the highest quality and value”.
