Stratford double-tower resi building approved
Newham Council has been granted planning permission for a double-tower residential development on Stratford High Street.
The two linked aluminium clad buildings will rise to 15 and 35 storeys and are expected to cost £58m to build.
A joint venture of investors and developers has put the scheme at 2-12 Stratford High Street together. They include: Aitch Group, VFund and FOS Properties, funded by BM Samuels Finance Group with Montagu Evans as planning consultant.
Each tower has commercial spaces on its ground and first floors, with a two-storey gym at the base of the taller building.
In addition, a landscaped public space will be created on the riverside, with pedestrian routes through the site linking an existing footbridge with the High Street and Cook’s Road.
