Betting Spy: Arsenal and Stoke for a fast start

It’s kick-off time for the Premiership but in north London the recent riots mean Spurs will be starting a week later after their game was called off.

These are strange days indeed when football fans need to be protected from the general public.

Now Betting Spy isn’t one to dabble in politics.

But here’s hoping this week proves a watershed in the UK’s recent history and those who value hard work and responsibility above fecklessness and victimhood finally start getting priority.

That was an attack on the hordes of tracksuit clad looters by the way, rather than yet another critique of West Ham’s squad.

We’ll leave repairing the country to that nice Mr Cameron and get on with the job in hand of picking a few winners.

Now Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger must feel a bit like one of those poor shopkeepers last week watching other clubs come in and walk off with his prized assets.

This season could be a struggle for the Gunners but I fancy them to put their troubles behind them on a trip to Newcastle who have plenty of problems of their own.

I’ve already tipped Newcastle for relegation so let’s get that started with a punt on Arsenal at evens to take all three points back to London on Saturday.

It’s not a massive price but looks a solid bet to start the season on a high.

For a bit more value let’s chance our arm on Stoke on Sunday to take the prized scalp of Chelsea.

The Potters have been playing in Europe which always sees sides start quickly and they are overpriced at home at 11/2 to beat a Chelsea side still adjusting to life under a new boss.

Good luck this season and don’t believe any rumours you hear that Betting Spy broke into a bookies during the riots and managed to lose £50.
