Passing bus hit by rebar during crane lift

A bus collided with a load of steel reinforcing bar being lifted by crane onto a site in Sidcup, Kent yesterday.

The incident happened outside Sidcup Railway Station where United House is building a £20m residential development called The Fold.

The crane load shattered glass on the top deck of the bus and a seven-year-old girl was treated for minor cuts.

The Health and Safety Executive is now investigating the incident.
