The company is now in the hands of liquidators from CVR Global.
The Enquirer understands that one of the firm’s largest contracts was retrofitting work at the Paragon student development near Brentford.
Fire breaks were found to be missing on the scheme and Face was working on an £8m contract to replace external cladding and to install proprietary fire breaks and cavity barriers.
Face’s package is understood to have been worth around £3m and the Enquirer understands the specialist had been in discussions with main contractor Axis Europe over disputed payments and work schedules.
Face had been in business since 2014 and the Romsey based team was led by managing director Dorian Lawrence.
