National plant hirer Hewden has launched a range of static and mobile eco-friendly site huts that will cut generator time with smart monitoring technology.
The static EasyCabin eco28 welfare unit comes fitted with PIR activated LED lighting, carbon monoxide detector, blown air thermostatically controlled heating, thermostatically controlled hot water.
The big savings come from intelligent generator charging technology. A control system monitors the cabin’s 12-volt batteries and charges them automatically to their optimum level from an inbuilt diesel generator.
When the optimum charge is reached, the generator is turned off, keeping usage to a minimum and reducing costs.
Based upon a 50-hour working week, Hewden argues the cabin offers annual savings of up to £5,967 in fuel costs, £1,250 in maintenance costs and a reduction of over 17,901kg in CO2 emissions.
The site cabins come with plant room, toilet, washing facilities, canteen area for up to eight people, drying room and office.
The mobile EasyCabin eco12 welfare unit offers many of the same advanced features as the eco28 including generator charging technology and provides canteen facilities for up to five people with a separate toilet and drying room.
