The YORbuild Major Works Contractors Framework has been set up following the success of the current YORbuild2, which is due to expire at the end of February 2022.
It will be split into two lots covering projects of £10m-£30m and £30m plus.
Under present plans, six firms will be given places on the largest project lot, estimated to be worth £900m over the four years, while the smaller project lot expected to account for a £600m spend will be shared among eight firms.
There is also an option to extend for a further two years to allow successful contractors adequate time to recoup the upfront investment of establishing collaborative processes and procedures with clients.
These include economic regeneration, carbon and waste reduction, training and employment initiatives, as well as new models of construction procurement.
Interested firms have until 9 September to return documents, which will be available from the YORtender website in due course.
