The responsive repair contractor is spending thousands every week at Costco stocking up on supplies to be distributed across its core regions.
Chigwell’s “cater pods” are now a regular site at local hospitals handing out free refreshments to hard-pressed NHS staff.
Chairman Dean Floyd said: “Rather than furlough all staff we have been out buying supplies from Costco and visiting hospitals and ambulance station within London and Essex to help feeding NHS and key workers.
“This has been received with open arms and the response has been overwhelming.
“In the last two weeks we have spent just under £15,000 and we will continue to do this throughout the pandemic until such time we return to normality.
“My staff have been amazing and it gives me as Chairman of Chigwell Group great pride in what we are doing.”
The company is currently also offering a full emergency operation for all clients working within Government guidelines.
Local Epping Forest councillor Jaymey McIvor said: “It is so inspiring to watch Epping Forest Businesses donating so generously to our NHS and supporting other Key Workers.
“A special recognition to ChigwellGroup for their incredible support to Essex and London NHS Hospitals and Ambulance Teams.”
