The procurement group is aiming to select specialist firms to deliver anything from whole building fire safety overhauls to recladding and fitting sprinkler systems, fire alarms or emergency lighting.
The works will be divided across 11 geographical regions and across three value bands in England, Wales and Northern Ireland with an expected value of around £250m over the next four years.
A sperate framework for regions in Scotland will be worth up to £160m.
Interested firms will be able to access prequalification documents until 21 May.
