The Essex-based contractor said it was on track to achieve this year’s growth target despite the impact of Covid-19 on the industry.

In the year to March 2020, the firm reported revenue 13% up to £196m. This year the Romford contractor expects to top £200m with 73% of the forecast activity already secured.
During the last year, Readie constructed 2.2m sq ft of new industrial, logistics and retail space working on 45 projects, up from 37 in 2019.
Headcount was raised by around 20% to 166 as a result of the higher activity with pre-tax profit remaining stable at £7.3m.
Margin slipped back to 3.7% from 4.2% last time.
Chairman and founder Stuart Readie, said: “Our ability to avoid disputes both upwards and downwards with our clients and supply chain respectively continues to enable strong relationships across all levels.
“This further cements our very strong reputation in the market resulting in keenness for clients to offer opportunities together with the same keenness from the supply chain wishing to work with us.
“There remains very strong potential for us to grow market share in the sector.
“In additional the size of the industrial logistics sector in which we are a true specialist, continues to increase in size.”
