The Blackpool headquartered specialist was awarded the deal by Beijing Construction Engineering Group International UK (BCEGI UK) at the site adjacent to Manchester Airport’s brand new Terminal 2.
Work will see Ameon engaged in the design and installation of all mechanical and electrical services for Airport City’s 280-bedroom Holiday Inn and the 262- bedroom, IBIS Budget.
The first phase of the contract is already underway on site to install a grey water harvesting system as part of the scheme’s water/energy conservation measures.
The utilities arm of Ameon has also been appointed to install elements of the development’s infrastructure.
Ameon managing director, Robin Lawson, said: “The Holiday Inn and IBIS Budget projects are the first to begin in Airport City Manchester’s hotel district and they offer us another opportunity to showcase our services on a high profile development that will mean much to the economy of the region.
“I am delighted that we continue to be involved in some of the most exciting projects in Manchester, for some of the most visionary developers, all of which has helped to establish our base in the city as a key part of our business network.”
