The £15m turnover business is now in the hands of administrators Auker Rhodes Accounting Limited.

Evora had been trading since 2009 and specialised in new build, fit out, shop fitting and refurbishment jobs up to £4m in value.

Director Richard Elam told local paper the York Press in May that the company had signed £4m of new contracts despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

Elam was awarded a Britiah Empire Medal in December for for services to business and the community in York.
