Muldoon has taken up the role after leaving the £1bn revenue contractor 11 months ago on an amicable basis in a senior management shake-up.
At Global Switch, Muldoon will focus on driving the operational performance of the group’s data centres, as well as ensuring smooth delivery of its new developments, power densification and other redevelopment projects.
Muldoon will also be responsible for creating further new development opportunities, including new markets, and will work closely with the CEO and regional teams in support of these expansion plans.
In addition, Ashley will take responsibility for Global Switch’s data and technology strategies and IT platforms.
Muldoon brings over 27 years of experience in the construction industry.
He has spent 22 years working at Multiplex, starting out as a project manager and leading the firm’s move into the UK before becoming CEO for Europe, the Middle East and Canada.
Muldoon said: “Global Switch is a world-class data centre company, committed to delivering best in class customer service.
“I have had a special interest in digital infrastructure for some time and I am delighted to be joining the company at such an exciting time in its global growth and development.”
