Newley-released Government figures show total construction output grew by just 1% last month with new work only edging upward by 0.3%.

Infrastructure new work continued to be the powerhouse of the recovery, growing another 1.4% in October to just above pre-Covid levels.
But falls in private housing and office work of 1.9% and 1.5% respectively slowed overall growth following the summer month recovery.
Across all sectors new work activity is running around 6.4% below the February pre-lockdown mark.
The fall in private housing dragged it below the pre-lockdown recovery level achieved last month.
