The specialist is now mobilising on site where 386 residential units are being built within seven blocks.
Kane will deliver a District Heating Network on the scheme and a temporary packaged plant room complete with gas fired boilers will be installed until the connection is ready to go live.
The temporary plant room will be prefabricated off-site at Kane’s in-house prefabrication workshop. Works will also include a cold-water storage plantroom, wet and dry riser systems, MVHR units and space heating within all apartments, served by radiators piped via a manifold system.
Further works include the full Public Health installation throughout the project consisting of all above ground foul and rainwater pipework and domestic cold-water system, served by a single cold-water storage tank and booster sets.
Hot water requirements within each dwelling will be generated instantaneously through the apartment Heat Interface Unit.
Cathal McMullan, Managing Director, Kane said: “Kane are delighted to have secured this MEP residential scheme on behalf of our Client, Ardmore.
“We will utilise our in-house prefabrication expertise to deliver off-site construction solutions on this project. Our experienced project team look forward to working on this landmark project”.
