Wates and Camden parted company on the £90m recladding project after securing the job back in January 2019 but then failing to agree final terms 18 months later.
Now tenants face a further two-year wait to see their tower blocks upgraded.
The five towers making up the Chalcots Estate were some of the first after the Grenfell disaster to be revealed to have defective claddding.
The new tender race is for the £22m contract for a 4,000m2 reclad of the 19-storey Blashford Tower, which is one of five tower making up the Chalcots Estate.
A similar major works project will be issued for the four similar tower blocks on the estate in May 2021.
The project will comprise of the replacement of the previous cladding system, which has been removed, the curtain walling, associated remedial work and making good, .and window replacement throughout.
Camden is allowing for a 32-week preconstruction period followed by an 80-week main construction phase.
Shortlisted firms will be invited to bid in April.
