Overall, the RC Frame to fit-out group delivered a pre-tax profit of £5.2m, down just £500,000 on the past year while improving cash to £28m from £24m previously.
Chief executive Michael Byrne said a strong secured order book and good pipeline of opportunities would support continued profitability.
Concrete frame specialist Byrne Bros is now targetting work with Highways England and HS2 to help offset an anticipated slowdown in London commercial work.
In the year to June 2020, Byrne Bros saw revenue drop by nearly a fifth to £102m with £4.6m in profit.
Specialist building and fitout business F B Ellmer increased revenue 9% to 84m but saw pre-tax profit slide to just £400,000 from £1.5m previously.
Last year Byrne claimed £886,000 in furlough money and saw restructuring costs hit £1.6m as overall staff headcount fell by around 10% to 332.
