The partnership is targetting clients faced with the monumental challenge of eradicating carbon emissions from their existing housing assets.

Osborne is bringin social housing maintenance and programme management capability in occupied homes with Bow Tie’s innovative carbon reduction methodologies.

Last month, Bow Tie secured Government funding to continue research and development of a retrofit concept to bring urban low and mid-rise apartment buildings to net zero carbon.

Initially funded by the EU’s ‘MustBe0’ program and Energiesprong UK, the funding will bring its concept closer to the market and provides for development of bespoke elements that will be to patented.

Vicky Fordham-Lewis manging director of Osborne Property Services said: The 2050 zero carbon objectives place an enormous technical, commercial and administrative burden onto social housing providers.

“Our partnership with Bow Tie has been designed to provide a flexible, customer centric solution to manage the entire journey to zero carbon across all types of housing stock. We are keeping the resident experience at the core of this offering”.

Hagop Heath-Matossian Innovation Director with Bow Tie added “This collaboration will be a game-changer for the retrofit sector.

“We are combining Bow Tie’s decade of bespoke retrofit expertise with Osborne’s excellent record as an embedded maintenance provider for Local authorities.

“Our joined-up approach means a single expert provider is responsible for scoping, design, installation and post-occupancy monitoring which will reduce responsive maintenance needs and costs. We believe our solution addresses all the associated carbon zero issues facing elected councillors, housing providers and their officers.”
