Lowery joined Galliford Try two months ago as operations director, responsible for Galliford Try’s relationship with Highways England, direct from his role as director for the Eiffage Kier Ferrovial BAM joint venture working on HS2.

He now steps up with immediate effect to head the highways business replacing Duncan Elliott who has decided to bring forward his departure from Galliford Try to pursue new opportunities.

Galliford Try said Elliott would remain with the business over the next few months to complete the transition.

Lowery said: “I am delighted to be given the opportunity to lead the Galliford Try Highways team.
