Phase two of the 1960s estate regeneration involves building 386 homes following on from Wates’ earlier 200-home phase one job.

Located by Gascoigne Road in Barking, the Gascoigne West Phase 2 development will involve the demolition of three existing blocks and the construction of five new blocks and town houses that will contain mixed tenure homes, 228 of which will be affordable.

With planning approval granted and enabling works due to start, construction is planned to begin in July, with completion at the beginning of 2024.
