Coombs Canterbury went down after more than 50 years in business blaming Brexit uncertainty and the pandemic.
RJ Barwick Ltd purchased the goodwill and brand from the administrator and the Coombs name is now up and running again as a trading division of Barwick.
The new Coombs firm is focusing on the building maintenance and retrofit sectors and has been rebranded as ‘Kent’s Low Energy Builder’.
The former MD of Coombs Canterbury, John Healey, is Operations Manager.
Unsecured creditors were owed £3.5m when Coombs Canterbury went into administration.
