The firm plans to build the 11-storey complex on a 2.5 brownfield site on Gooch Street North, known locally as Oasis Southside.
It sits within Birmingham’s Chinatown and Theatreland – one of the city’s most vibrant and diverse alternative cultural scenes.
The site is currently occupied by low-rise industrial buildings which would be demolished.
The plans to redevelop this iconic part of Birmingham include the delivery of 456 flats and 5,500 sq ft of ground-floor commercial space.
Residents of the new development will benefit from a huge landscaped courtyard at ground level, and a private 7,000 sq ft rooftop terrace. A new pedestrian street to the south of the development has also been proposed.
John Tebbutt, Development Consultant at BPG said: “With close proximity to both the city centre and the new HS2 station, the development will prove highly attractive to both investors and owner occupiers alike.”
