Administrators take charge at Kapex Construction

Administrator FRP Advisory has officially been appointed at Newcastle based contractor Kapex Construction.

The Enquirer revealed last month that work had stopped on the firm’s sites across the north east and staff were sent home.

A High Court notice published today confirmed the appointment of FRP.

Kapex Construction was established in 2016 as the building division of the Morton Group which is owned by father and son team Brian and Gary Morton.

Latest results for Kapex filed at Companies House show the firm had a turnover of 11.6m for the year to March 31 2020 generating a pre-tax profit of £419,000 and employing 62 people.
