It is WJ’s second strategic acquisition of 2021 following the deal for Bellstan Ltd in June. The acquisition further develops WJ Group’s national coverage, strengthening the combined companies’ geographic reach in the East of England.
In the medium term, JMS Lincoln will continue to trade as a stand-alone business but will fully integrate into the WJ Group in the long term.
WJ Group CEO and founder Wayne Johnston said: “We are delighted to announce that JMS Lincoln will be joining the WJ Group. The skills and expertise of the JMS team will further enhance and complement the existing surface preparation and retexturing arm of the WJ Group business.
“We are looking forward to welcoming the team to WJ during this exciting time of growth. The acquisition strengthens our capabilities in the East of England and furthers our overall strategic objective of being able to support repair and maintenance work across the entire UK road network.”
He added: “Our company vision, ‘creating safe, sustainable journeys for everyone’ illustrates our road safety and environmental focus that is central to developing a UK road network fit for the 21st Century.”
JMS Lincoln Managing Director John Marriott said: “We are, as a team, very proud to be joining the WJ Group and together growing and strengthening the services we offer to the wider UK and European marketplace. I am personally looking forward to this next transition period, and the future opportunities working together will bring.”
