Procurement body Fusion21 has awarded spots to 50 main contractors and specialists on its new national Decarbonisation Framework

Specifically designed to meet the needs of housing associations, local authorities, schools, NHS trusts, and blue light organisations, the framework will support the design and delivery of energy efficiency measures, combining contracts that can deliver thermal fabric improvements, heating and renewables, power as well as building management systems.

Big name contractors like BAM FM, Kier, Lovell, Vinci and Wates join specialist firms on the four-year framework estimated to be worth £750m.

Appointed suppliers will be energy retrofit specification PAS2035:2019 compliant and Trustmark accredited

Appointed suppliers committed to working to the new PAS2038:2021 standard.

The framework provides geographical coverage across the UK down to a regional and local level, and call-off options enable a direct award – in order to meet tight project delivery timescales, or a further competition.

Peter Francis, director of operations at Fusion21 said: ‘Developed in response to member and supply chain feedback; this framework supports our members to deliver against a zero-carbon agenda and builds upon the renewable and energy efficient solutions we already have available.

“Whether incorporated into existing asset management strategies or applied to complex multi-measure schemes, our decarbonisation offer will help members to develop their own net zero roadmap, reducing emissions and maximising cost savings.”
