The board said her appointment as next CEO followed a thorough selection process that considered a long list of industry and non-industry candidates.
Daly will take the helm after the annual general meeting on 22 April and starts with a £750,000 basic salary package and potential bonus of 150% of salary.
In her current role, Daly oversees Taylor Wimpey’s land, planning, technical, sustainability, production and supply chain functions, as well as managing the Taylor Wimpey Logistics business.
She brings has almost 30 years of experience in the house building, land and planning industries.
Daly joined Taylor Wimpey eight years ago from rival Redrow where she was managing director of its Harrow Estates business. Prior to that, she was group land manager at Westbury .
Her early career was in local authority and council planning roles in Macclesfield and Blackpool.
