Dunfermline Learning Campus will bring two high schools and Fife College together on one site, accommodating up to 2,700 students when complete in 2024.
The project is split into two key elements. Balfour Beatty is delivering the Fife College contract, while Bam is building the co-located high school element of the campus.
Designed by AHR Architects, the high school project is targetting Passivhaus certification and was procured and managed for the local council by hub East Central Scotland.
The schools are being paid for under a different model, which will see the council pay the full capital costs and the Government picking up the bills for ongoing maintenance.
The campus will be 58 acres in size. There are also separate plans for the wider Shepherd Offshore site.
They include 225 houses, a nursery, a care home, assisted living apartments and petrol station.
