The developer is investing £46m in total for the land and construction of four sheds on the scheme, which is located off the A52 and close to junction 25 of the M1.
Winvic will deliver over 224,000m3 of cut and fill works on the 70-acre site adjacent to the River Derwent to enable the development plots, build 800m of new road infrastructure and create more than 20 acres of natural landscaped area.
It aims to complete four BREEAM Excellent rated industrial units totalling just under 300,000 sq ft in less than 10-months.
Phase 2 is expected to follow within the next two years and will deliver the remaining 550,000 sq ft of warehouse space, completing the transformation of the site.
