The design and build contract involves two new buildings on the east and west of the public courtyard ranging from 11 to 27 storeys and a new pocket park.
There would also be a residential ‘podium’ terrace.
The 1.24-acre brownfield site is part of the former Boddington’s Brewery located on Great Ducie Street, adjacent to Manchester Victoria station.
It sits within a wider mixed-use redevelopment plan which includes a brand new city centre campus for The Manchester College and UCEN Manchester.
Latimer is looking to build one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, of which 60% will be affordable housing including a mix of social rent, affordable rent and shared ownership, as well as 6,000 sq. ft. commercial space.
Work on site is expected to begin mid 2022 subject to planning.
Firms have until 22 March to express an interest on the procurement website, ahead of invitations to tender being issued at the end of March.
