Leeds-based property developer Rushbond Group, in partnership with residential development firm Gold and Amber, plans to bring forward the scheme on the East Side of Leeds’ city centre.
To be known as Leeds City Village, the developer aims to create a new community at the former Goods Yard, located between Marsh Lane and Shannon Street.
City planners gave the go-ahead for more than 1,000 new homes, as well as a mix of commercial, leisure and amenity space.
The scheme, which has been designed by Leeds-based Brewster Bye Architects, is expected to complement Rushbond’s investments and projects in the Kirkgate District, including the Corn Exchange and First White Cloth Hall.
Works are due to commence on site this year and complete in 2026.
