Previously, outsourcing contractor Mears provided repairs and maintenance across 11,000 homes in the London boroughs of Greenwich, Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Camden, Islington, Harrow and Brent.

The newly-formed in-house contractor, Property Maintenance London, has taken on many of Mears’ staff to deliver works.

Mears will continue to deliver repairs and maintenance services to Hyde’s homes in Peterborough.

“That’s why we made the decision to bring repairs and maintenance services in-house. Delivering these services through our own teams will help to make sure we put customers at the heart of what we do.”
