Documents filed at Companies House show that Begbies Traynor was appointed joint liquidator of the Hull based specialist earlier this month.
Kubex went under owing £1.3m to unsecured creditors with a raft of suppliers listed who are now holding virtually worthless invoices.
The Enquirer revealed earlier this month that Kubex was struggling to fulfill its existing contracts.
The company had been in business since 2009 and employed 36 staff.
It is understood the firm had been bidding for work at prices which proved undeliverable.
Companies House records show that managing director Anthony Cook incorporated a new Hull based company called Kubex Bathroom Solutions Ltd last month.
One of its biggest main contractor clients was HG Construction who were using Kubex pods on a number of residential jobs.
