The specialist groundworks and concrete contractor will work for developer Telford Homes on the 380 build to rent flats project.

Mitchellson will pour 20,000m3 of concrete at the landmark 26-floor towers project on Internation Way, Stratford.

It follows Mitchellson’s successful contract last year to deliver foundations and concrete frames for two 25-storey residential towers in Croydon.

The overall Stratford development is expected to be worth £160m-plus. Legal & General will own and operate the completed scheme, which will comprise 60% ‘build to rent’ homes and 40% classed as affordable.

The development in a prominent plot adjacent to Stratford International station has been designed to exceed Part L building regulations with 42% cumulative CO2 savings in the residential areas and 36% for the commercial elements, and is targeting a BREEAM excellent rating.
