The purpose-built student accommodation, Fusion at Brent Cross Town, is set to be a flagship development as part of the £7bn Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration programme.
The landmark development will provide 662 private rooms across three connected buildings that range from nine to 22 storeys.
These will offer a range of room types, and at different sizes, to create a breadth of options appealing to a wider student population.
Early works started this month on the project which will also include community space, multipurpose tiered event areas, social lounge spaces along with sports arena and fitness suits.
Paul Miles, construction director for Fusion, said: “Our Fusion at Brent Cross Town scheme represents a significant milestone in our student accommodation portfolio.
“The quality and design of the project really marks this building as a standout PBSA asset that will have a positive impact for the student community we hope to attract to the area.
“We are pleased to be partnering with Henry Construction to deliver our vision for the future of student accommodation in London.”
Joe Bonner, Director at Henry Construction, said: “We are delighted to secure our first project with Fusion Group in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for both Fusion Group and Henry Construction to be part of the Barnet Council and Argent regeneration works at Brent Cross Town.
“We also look forward to working alongside employers agent Rhomco, cost consultant Gardiner & Theobald, architect Corstorphine & Wright, structural engineer Shear Design and M&E engineer Amber Management.”
The project will complete in time for the 2024/25 academic year.
