The UPVC specialist currently employs around 2,100 people across its nationwide network of 210 branches.

Eurocell declined to comment on the number of jobs at risk but specialist industry publication The Glazine claimed it “could run to several dozen”.

A Eurocell spokesperson said: “In preparation for the possibility of a reduction in market volumes, we have made some strategic changes across our business that have resulted in a few employees being redeployed to other roles and a small number of redundancies.

“These changes enable us to continue to focus on growth and winning share for our customers. We will not be making any further comment”.
