BAM has secured the deal under an early contractor involvement basis after being the only contractor to submit a tender.
Convention centre owner Harrogate Council is aiming to sanction work to start in the Autumn.
The design team includes Arcadis and architect and project manager, with Silcocks on board as M&E consultant and Buro Happold as structural expert.
The refurbishment of the 42-year-old Convention Centre will include improving conferencing facilities, known as the “Studio 2 works”, as well as providing a main works package including essential accessibility improvements and mechanical and engineering upgrades.
A large venue, several interconnected buildings include a 2,000-seat conference auditorium, plus more than 13,000 sqm of exhibition space.
Its facilities also include the Royal Hall, a multi-purpose entertainment space with a capacity of 978 theatre-style.
