The firm filed a notice of intention to appoint an administrator this week as a protective measure while the negotiations are ongoing.
Lane End is a leading developing contractor for the construction and housing sector across the North West and has built more than 1,000 homes.
Lane End Construction Director Mick Cunningham told the Enquirer: “Lane End Group remain active and viable and are currently exploring strategic options to re-structure.
“This process is ongoing, and new investors are entering the final stages of negotiations and due diligence, to secure a successful share purchase.
“The administration notice has been lodged to protect the business as a short-term measure until the completion of the restructure.
“Upon conclusion, this investment will secure the future of our employees and sub-contractor partners and will allow Lane End to continue to grow and develop”
Latest accounts filed for the year to May 31 2022 show the company had a turnover of £81m generating a pre-tax profit of £245,000 while employing 106 staff.
Lane end is currently on site on a string of projects including a 205-unit development in Winsford with Jigsaw Homes and a 100 unit scheme for Clwyd Alan at Northern Gateway in Deeside.
