In latest abridged published accounts for the year to May 2022, the well-known Midlands contractor reported a pre-tax loss of £1.2m along with current liabilities exceeding current assets by £3.4m.
The business continued to shrink with employee numbers down to 16 from 35 staff the previous year. Due to limited reporting requirements for small companies Colmore Tang Construction did not reveal revenue for the year.
The pivot in management strategy two years ago to concentrate on cladding saw revenue slump in 2021 to just £18m from £53m previously.
In that year the impact of Covid restrictions and higher costs saw Colmore Tang book a £4.95m loss which also resulted in current liabilities exceeding assets by £1.9m.
