A dozen firms now face a fight to retain their places on the pretendered panel for projects valued between £3m and £8m.
These include: Casey, Conlon, Equans, Eric Wright, Galliford Try, ISG, Kier, Laing O’Rourke, Morgan Sindall, Robertson, Warden and Wates.
Manchester City Council is hosting the procurement and has given firms have until 2 May to submit expressions of interest, winning firms due to be announced in August this year.
The framework will then be in place from September for four years. Around 10 firms are expected to be given places.
